Winnipeg Rec Hockey League Announces Spring & Summer 2025 Season Details

Winnipeg, Manitoba – The Winnipeg Rec Hockey League is thrilled to unveil the details for its upcoming Spring and Summer 2025 seasons. With a focus on fun, flexible scheduling, and divisions for all skill levels, the league invites both veteran teams and newcomers to lace up for an action-packed few months on the ice.

Pre-Registration opens shortly. Returning teams will be contacted, new teams with specific questions can visit here to join the waitlist (coming soon).

4-on-4 Spring 2025 Season

  • Season Length: 8 games
  • Dates: April 14 – May 30
  • Format: 4-on-4, featuring 1-hour slots with three 12-minute periods
  • Price: $2,095 + GST per team
  • Holiday Break: No games on Victoria Day weekend
  • U23 Division: Tailored for younger players, with the option to apply for exemption rules
  • Flexible Scheduling: Games are held seven days a week, and teams can request to omit one day (i.e Saturdays) Ifor convenience
  • Facilities: Games will be held at Maples and Hockey For All Centre, with the option for other facilities based on team interest.
  • Individual Sign-Up: Options available for players looking to join a team.

Why Sign Up for Spring?
Designed for high-tempo play, the 4-on-4 format emphasizes skill development and speed on the ice. Teams can also make use of the flexible scheduling structure—perfect for staying competitive while balancing other commitments.

Summer 2025 Season

  • Season Length: 14 games guaranteed
  • Dates: May 20 – end of August
  • Format: 5-on-5, featuring 1.25 hour slots with three  15-minute stop-time periods
  • Price: $4,750 + GST per team
  • Conference Registration: Secure a spot in a specific conference (NORTH or SOUTH) to guarantee your schedule; save $100 by registering in the flex conference
  • Playoffs: Double elimination playoffs
  • Divisions: Teams can choose to play in either the North or South division, bringing back the popular format that guarantees divisional alignment.
  • Flex Conference Option: Teams can save even more money by opting to be a "flex conference" team, allowing greater scheduling flexibility.
  • Blackout Days: No Saturday games; teams can also choose to blackout another day (Friday or Sunday) to fit their summer plans
  • Custom Scheduling Perks: Contact us directly to arrange prime times or other special requests
  • Great Start Time: No games will begin later than 10 p.m., average start time of 8:45 PM
  • Facilities: A full list of facilities will be published closer to the season. Hockey For All Centre remains our "home" facility, but scheduling options will be circulated closer to the season.
  • Individual Sign-Up: Options available for players looking to join a team.
